MSNBC reports creationism spreading in schools thanks to vouchers plus teacher's unions receive another big loss. Creationists expanding outreach to young people in 2013
What three threats to Darwinism indoctrination in schools have just recently emerged in a significant way?
Three threats to Darwinism indoctrination in schools
1. MSNBC reports: Creationism spreading in schools thanks to vouchers
Also, Wisconsin has been at the forefront of the school choice movement. For example, private religious schools obtaining vouchers.
A recent poll shows Wisconsin voters would like to see an expansion of the state's private school scholarship program, which is currently limited to cities. The Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) spokesperson explains that both houses of the legislature are controlled by conservatives, so she anticipates some increased opportunities for school choice in the near future.
For more information please see: Wisconsin Prediction: Wisconsin. school choice will 'carry the day'
2. Teacher's unions tend to favor liberal policies and liberals tend to favor Darwinism. In addition, they tend to favor the public schools. For example, in a creation vs. evolution battles in Florida/Tennessee the teacher's union and the American Civil Liberties Union favored Darwinism (see: Tennessee Teacher's Union and creationism and Florida Teacher's Union and creationism). I am merely speaking in general because in Alabama where creationism is very strong, the teacher's union favored creationism (Alabama Teacher's union and creationism).
